Q: When can I see my pictures?
A: When I put my magic touch on your photos, it takes about 4 to 6 weeks for portraits and 3 to 4 weeks for weddings.
Q: How long have you been a photographer?
A: I fell in love with my camera in 1998 and I haven't looked back since.
Q: I really want you as my photographer. How do I reserve your services?
A: YAY! To reserve your wedding date, you will first need to contact me and verify that I have your date available. Do not wait too long. Most weddings are booked a year or more in advance. After we verify the date is available, you will have to make your deposit before that date is offically yours. You will also need to complete your contract. I like to meet my clients in person to get these details done. Your remaining balance is due 1 month before your wedding date. Be aware that verbal verification that I have your date available does not guarantee you are reserved for that day. ONLY your deposit will guarantee your wedding date.
Q: I'm from out of town. How do we meet to finalize the arrangements?
A: Don't worry. We can meet via email and phone. I have tons of samples on my website and we can setup a time to chat on the phone. Communication is important to me! At the end, we will be like old friends!
Q: Why does your website say "Jessica Cernat" and other things say "Jessica Bowers"?
A: Jessica Bowers is my maiden name and since my business was built on my married name, it made more sense to just keep it that way.
Q: Where do I mail my contract?
A: You can mail your contract to:
Jessica Bowers
3198 Parkwood Blvd. # 11094
Frisco, Texas 75034
Q: I want to make a payment. What are my options?
A: You can mail me a check payable to Jessica Bowers or click the payment link and make a payment via credit card though PayPal.
Q: What's the difference between digital negatives and edited images?
A: Digital negatives are simply the basic images that comes out of the camera. Out of the thousands of pictures taken during a wedding, the best ones from each pose are selected with basic editing if needed.
Editing can consist of hours upon hours of detailed adjustments such as changing skin tone, removing unwanted blemishes on the skin, slimming that unwanted weight, removing glare and other unwanted objects, and adding special enhancements like shapening of the eyes and whitening the teeth. Editing is one of the reasons you pay great photographers for beautiful photographs.
Q: Edited images look so much better! I want all my images edited!
A: Jessica, personally evaulates every photograph. After sorting each one, Jessica picks the best images to edit for your collection or album. Because of the amout of images, it is not possible for every photo to be edited. Detailed editing is only performed on portraits. Given that each edited photo takes anywhere from 30 minutes to an hour, it would take hundreds of hours working all day everyday. Photographers simply can not devote that amout of time to every photograph and still maintain other clients.
Q: But I want specific images to have miracle editing like removing my bra straps or taking someone completely out of an image.
A: This type of editing is even more tedious than the high quality editing that is already done. Any special request for editing by the client is additional. We charge $35 per hour to make these special edit request. Some request are just not possible. There is only so much that can be done.
The images you see in my portfolio are ALL edited images.
